What he said about the aloe vera gel - I've just discovered it and it works superbly for me. I use on my entire face after shaving as a general moisturiser. It won't cost much to give it a go. Cheers - I

Thanks

I've just dug out the Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel . I don't suppose it's very pure but it'll do for the time being.
I'll report back on its effectiveness tomorrow.

@Andy C I don't want to be rude and would mind telling us how on earth can you shave a bloody curve mad straight razor :confused:, and when was the last time you've seen a bloody Dr Curvy Shrink Straight Razor :p:D
lol It's actually very straight forward, no different to any other SR. It does have its advantages though, very easy to manoeuvre around the upper lip/nostril area.

After the butcher shave on Saturday, I had a rest day yesterday. Today saw the first run of the Semogue 830, the return of the EJ 3D Laser Diamond after a short hiatus, a new SI blade and good old OSP Sandalwood.

Really not too impressed with the razor after using the Futur for a while but a 3 pass shave complete and more than good enough for the day ahead.

Only one thing of note. I am sure I read that new Boar hair brushes take a while to produce a good quantity of lather. It just about made 2 passes this morning and had to give the brush a top up for the third. The Semogue 2000 gets its second run out tomorrow.

A close shave from the 41 & 74 but no blood loss, two pass and a clean up, a very efficient razor indeed , feeling smooth and smelling great.
