Dovo straight "shave ready"

Hey Guys

Tried out my new dovo straight tonight which was sold as "shave ready". This is my first straight and my first straight razor shave and it was horrible. It felt like i was ripping at the hairs!! It just didn't feel like it was cutting my whiskers and resulted in finishing the shave with a mach3.
Anyone else bought a dovo and had the same issue?? I just don't feel it was shave ready....
Ive been looking online to find somewhere to get it honed asap....

I was really looking forward to my shave tonight which turned out to be rubbish!

Watching vids i meant. However, this dovo just doesnt seem to cut. It just wasnt going through the whiskers

This Subject came Up Today about Current Dovo SRs..People ask about them & then Go & Buy them Anyway..It also Came Up Last Week & it May have been Yourself..These SRs are Getting Sold as Shave Ready Right Left & Centre at the Moment..I Know Someone that gets Loads of them all the Time to Hone that Folks Bought as Shave Ready..o_O

I Got One Myself Recently to Hone for Someone that was Told it was Shave Ready..I had to Hone it from Scratch & it Took more than a Moment to Set the Bevel as the Grind from the Factory was Far from Perfect..There Appears to be Mixed Results with them & I think Folks think I am Talkin through a Hole in My Ass..:D

That's bad news.Sorry to hear that.Where did you buy it from? There maybe a member on here who will get it to the standard expected.Im not sure who though because I've not been long on here.

Got it from groomanifest. I will be sending it off on Tomorrow morning first thing to get it honed.

I have been thinking about buying one from the invisible edge.I only have finishing hones now so I'm hoping to find one that will be ready to go.I emailed the shop to ask just to be sure.
