SOTD Saturday 10th to Friday 16th September 2016

Had my 6th SR shave today. No picture as it would be almost identical to one I posted for my 5th SR shave.

Stropped the razor before shaving on the SRD magnetic paddle. 30 on rough leather, 30 on smooth and it seemed to do the job nicely.

I attempted a full one pass on my face and neck.. the face was mainly good with the exception of the usual subjects (upper lip and chin) the neck was patchy at best! However I attempted it, there was no more irritation than I get normally on my neck (which is becoming less) no nicks and I was happy enough with the attempt. Finished off with a single all over pass with the Clog-pruf which is fast becoming a favourite razor.

@Fox Parma Violets soap surprised me. A scent I wasn't expecting to like, but as with Club Cola I enjoyed it more as it was lathered and applied. As always the soap went on like plaster. Unlike before, it actually started to dry out and crack a little... This will be in part due to the longer time for the SR shave and also down to the high heat I'm sure!

A good shave though, I'm happy.

The quality of a shave can truly be measured by the amount of regrowth the following day. My shave of yesterday was outstanding, so my expectations with this lighter Razor were not high. However , not only was the shave very smooth but the overall finish was very good too.

For those with smaller hands, I can recommend this small boar brush, which is good with soaps and creams. Was one of my first brush purchases and is always in my rotation.
